MAMA CASH

Mama Cash is a pioneering feminist fund that has supported grassroots movements for gender justice worldwide since 1983. Dedicated to amplifying the voices of activists and organizations, Mama Cash invests in bold, intersectional advocacy for women, girls, and trans and intersex people. To keep their communications as impactful as their mission, Mama Cash sought additional support to complement their team’s efforts.

Communication Foundation was trusted as a communications consultant, providing ongoing technical expertise, strategic input, and fresh ideas. Through continuous collaboration, we offered tailored solutions, executed projects progressively, and provided hands-on technical support. Our extended partnership helped Mama Cash amplify their message while staying agile and focused on their core mission.

As Mama Cash's communication partner, Communication Foundation provides strategic advice, coaching, and content development across all areas, from fundraising strategies to social media campaigns.

Event support: Celebrating 40 Years of Feminist Impact

As Mama Cash marked its 40th anniversary in 2024, the organization sought to create an event that would not only celebrate its legacy but also strengthen its presence among key stakeholders.

With the theme “For Love. For Change. For Justice.”, the event aimed to inspire, engage donors and supporters, and informally launch the Impact Study.

Communication Foundation played a pivotal role in bringing this vision to life by managing a comprehensive suite of communications and media deliverables.

To ensure a cohesive and visually compelling experience, we designed a full range of event materials, including name tags, flyers, posters, program flyers, and a keynote presentation with various screenplays.

Our PR and promotional efforts covered RSVP emails, a press release, social media campaigns, and an animated invitation, strategically building anticipation and engagement.

On the day of the event, our team provided on-site photography and videography, capturing key moments and producing a high-impact recap video that encapsulated the energy and significance of the celebration.

Through strategic communication and media production, CF helped amplify Mama Cash’s voice, ensuring the event resonated with donors, activists, and global supporters alike.

Strategic Campaign Support for Maximum Impact

Through a range of communication and design efforts, we supported Mama Cash in bringing their campaigns to life. Our work included website development, multimedia content creation, and strategic outreach materials to effectively convey key messages and engage supporters.

For their Q3 Campaign, we built a website for Mama Cash’s Impact Study with regional landing pages featuring stories, multimedia content, and donation calls-to-action. This was complemented by infographics, maps, social media content, and an email campaign designed to drive engagement.

We also contributed to the Care Justice Report, handling report design, executive summaries, and digital campaigns that included Instagram videos and social media posts translating key findings into accessible content.

Additionally, for Sex Workers’ Pride, we created social media posts, including text and illustrations, celebrating the resilience and strength of sex workers while advocating for their rights.

In Q4, our campaign support extended to action pages, newsletters, email series, and social media assets, ensuring a cohesive and impactful communication strategy.

Video Production: A Powerful 90-Second Impact Film

Communication Foundation produced a 90-second promotional video for the Pivotal Fund jury where we showcased the organization’s profound impact through personal employee testimonials and compelling footage of grantee partners in action.

With an accessible, energetic, and powerful tone, the video highlighted Mama Cash’s role in advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and combating Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

By emphasizing core funding support, mental and emotional well-being initiatives, and network-building gatherings, the video made a strong case for securing essential funding.
